Monday à la Moss!

On my better days? I fancy myself the bookish, Midwestern, sedate version of Kate Moss. (On my worse days I think I look like the love child of Axel Rose and Janice from The Muppets, but that’s another matter entirely.) And few things bring me quite as much joy as being able to recreate Kate’s effortless cool with items from right here at shopbop.

This classic Kate look starts with gray J Brand skinnies, a white V-neck tee (I love the little pocket on LNA’s) and a studded gladiator. (Even better? These L.A.M.B. ones are on sale.) Ray-Ban Wayfarers are a hipster essential this season, and a Thea Grant pendant is the perfect combination of sweetly pretty and found-object cool. A slouchy black bag (I love Rebecca Minkoff's) stores all manner of must-haves.

Laid-Back Basics from Celeb Fave LNA

It's like we always say: Behind every great wardrobe is a bunch of brilliant basics. That's why we're over the moon for design newcomer LNA. Launched in 2007 by SoCal natives Lauren Alexander and April Leight, LNA took the laid-back, borrowed-from-a-boy look we love, tailored it to fit the female form, and fashioned it from the softest, most luxurious cotton imaginable. Oh, and did we mention that LNA tees come in a well-edited palette of the coolest colors ever? It's no wonder all the Hollywood A-listers are buying them in bulk. Get your LNA fix right here, at shopbop.

First Fashion: Our Favorites from What’s New

Countless examples of modern chic arrive at shopbop every day, and we’d be doing you a disservice if we didn’t tell you we find a few eye-catching standouts to covet each and every one of those days. That’s why we’re bringing you First Fashion, your morning look at our favorites in What’s New. Have some style with your coffee.

Today finds me in a characteristically ‘80s state of mind:

It’s no secret I have a major thing for shrunken blazers, and just as I bid a teary farewell to the woolly tweed Rag & Bone one I’ve been living in for the last six months, along comes this little linen jacket from Thayer to squire me through summer.

Leggings are a mainstay of my wardrobe, so I’m always on the lookout for new styles to add to my collection. Zipper detail gives this pair from LNA a distinctly downtown vibe--perfect with a slouchy tunic and beat-up Converse. So far I’ve stayed pretty sedate with the black and charcoal, but the brilliant violet has been beckoning to me.

My first album was Like a Virgin, and perhaps this explains my weakness for anything lingerie-inspired. Needless to say, when this strapless Laila Azhar number showed up on the rack I was all over it. Understated and elegant enough to wear to a semi-formal event, the subtle bustier-like detailing at the bodice gives this style just the right amount of naughtiness.
