The hottest thing to hit the fall runways wasn't It-model Agyness Deyn. No, it was an accessory most women wear every day: the necklace. Showing up in the most eye-catching forms, they contrasted apparel's return to classic Italian tailoring and staid color palette with brilliant colors and big details. And that's why we're scooping up a little something flashy from the likes of Giles & Brother and Lulu Frost, tuleste market and Kenneth Jay Lane. Statement necklaces are the hottest accessory for fall. Get yours now, at shopbop.

5 Questions for the tuleste market Designers

The designers behind tuleste market, siblings Satu and Celeste Greenberg, grew up in rural northern California, combing through thrift stores and coming up with creative ways to put together stylish wardrobes. Inspired by their reworked vintage finds and driven to create their own unique pieces, the two created tuleste market. Combining a thrift store mentality with high-fashion gloss, tuleste market offers one-of-a-kind statement pieces for all style sensibilities.

We posed five questions to the designers about their line and their inspiration.

What is the philosophy behind your line?
We wanted to have a line with pieces that were both affordable and attainable, that was fresh and contemporary, but with a cool, classic vibe

What inspires your designs?
Our current collection is inspired by women of all ages and lifestyles, from city to country; new designer pieces and vintage thrift store finds; and most of all, it is inspired by our love of making something old look new again. Another source of inspiration is women in films that stand up with time from Michelangelo Antonioni and Jean Luc Goddard. The fashions mirroring our family during our childhood from The Monterey Pop Festival, and of course, our friends and diversity of living in New York.

Does your current collection have a theme? What is the inspiration behind it?
We don’t really have a theme. We wanted to have timeless pieces that all women would want to wear.

What is your best accessorizing advice?
Too much is never too much!!

Do you follow Coco Chanel’s rule: “take one piece off before you leave the house”?
Never!!

First Fashion: Our Favorites from What's New

Bright sun and temperatures pushing 90? With these three new pieces, I’ll soak it up, shopbop style.
A perfect balance of two major trends, Alice + Olivia’s Bustier Dress combines the maxi dress silhouette with ombré chiffon.
Tuleste market’s multi-strand necklace with yellow gold, rose gold, and silver chains is surefire “where did you get that?!” bait.
Dress? Check. Accessory? Check. Shoes? Here they are. These sandals from Dolce Vita are a more subdued take on the ubiquitous gladiator, and the pyramid detail gives it a pretty edge.

First Fashion: Favorites from What’s New

I’m coming off a long weekend that included a very ladylike baby shower, so I’m in the mood for some luxe glamour with an effortless slant.
There’s nothing hotter than a pair of high-waisted jeans this season, and these have a brilliant leg to match. They’re trendy, yet I know I’ll wear them for years. (See by Chloe - High Waisted Wide Leg Flare Jean)
Red, patent, sexy cut? They’re my picture of shoe perfection. I have a closet full of KORS, and I’m adding one more pair to the bunch. (KORS Shoes - Wicked Asymmetrical Sandal)
Jewelry’s going big this fall, and this necklace will get me started on the trend. Classic in its metal yet funky in its design, I’ll be wearing it for the next six months. (tuleste market - Solid Petal Necklace)
Add my trusty white Bop Basics tee to that trio, and I’ve got my ideal ensemble. Find yours in What’s New.
