One of my favorite things about fashion is wading through the wide range of design inspiration.
![]() | Sunner’s brand of preppy cool has found the perfect medium in this ruffled corduroy dress. Now that I’m not in school anymore, something has to take the place of buying new #2 pencils! |
![]() | Art deco always has that timeless, edgy quality, which is why I love the angular, exaggerated pleating on Kooba’s Tracy Bag. |
![]() | The utilitarian-style key detail on these post earrings from Juicy are small enough to warrant a double-take, and quirky enough to make that double-take worth it. Maybe if I wear these they’ll keep me from locking my keys in the car. While it’s running. Again. |

First Fashion: Our Favorite's from What's New
For whatever reason, my picks from today’s What’s New say "Lumberjack chic." For reals.
![]() | This checked shirt from Sunner may take its inspiration from a certain legendary lumberjack’s closet, but with a cool blue color and a flattering fit, this top is my favorite kind of unexpected style. |
![]() | These shorts from Elizabeth and James have that “I ripped a hole in my favorite jeans and had to cut them off so I can still keep wearing them” look that I love. Plus, the suspenders are off-beat and cool and much more delicate than those you might expect from expert tree-fellers. |
![]() | I love the sweet heart detail and metallic leather band on this watch from Juicy Couture. It may not be appropriate lumberjack wear, but I could time how long it takes Paul to cut down a tree! |

Letter from Morocco: Boho-Luxe Looks
That globetrotting friend who lived in Morocco for a time and returned with a taste for obscure spices and an envy-inspiring collection of scarves and bracelets? This spring she's the muse for some of our favorite designers. See Sunner's sophisticated spin on batik, laid-back luxe pieces from Gold Hawk, and the gilded embroidery on Seaton's tailored shift. Flat sandals, loads of long necklaces and a slouchy handbag complete the effortlessly glamorous look. Spring's I've-lived-abroad style? Get it right here, at shopbop.
